Enjoy a unique opportunity to observe, photograph, and encounter the majestic Woodland Caribou, (100% success on past tours) Moose and other fauna and flora of Central Newfoundland. All tours are accompanied by a local biologist/naturalist.
The word Caribou is of Aboriginal descent and means shoveler or pawer. This describes the caribou's habit of shoveling snow with it's hooves to gather lichens (food) in winter.
Tours take you into the Nfld. Wilderness, home of 100,000 Moose and 70,000 Woodland Caribou.
